Our pilot project is an informal think tank to explore the holiday experience alongside relevant contemporary issues for our community.  A curiosity shop, a place of thoughts and dreams, to conjure up ideas, to inspire and share  with others…. an off-line place of potential.

Flock & Swarm Dance Workshop
Inspired by Nature’s systems we will follow simple rules as part of a group, whilst responding to our environment and movement patterns unfold.

Led by experienced teacher and choreographer Jane Turner, this accessible workshop is open to all ages and abilities and promises to be fun and refreshing.
Please wear comfortable clothing. Contribute what you can.

Lester Cowling – A Dorset Revolution – talk
Local journalist, historian and writer will share his research into social and european history, politics and the agricultural revolution that preceded the Tolpuddle Martyrs direct action in 1834.

Judith Dean – ‘Gesamtkunstwerk’  artist’s talk about West Bay, and the world we all inhabit, as a  ‘total work of art’. Followed by informal  discussion and screening of the 2011 video piece Guide to Powerstock Common.

Rona Lee – Rona will be  showing a selection of her video work  and will perform  a reading based on Guidance on Ensuring the Safety and Security of Seafarers and Rescued Persons – Second Edition 2015. This participatory reading is approx 30 minutes long, readers are cordially invited to join in.

Having written over several days at the Mothership and within the Chapel,  Neil and David will be reading extracts from their text, which was based initially on the local library books about West Bay, and hosting a discussion about the writing and their collaborative working process. This will start at 2pm.
